PC/ABS Blend (Polycarbonate/Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene): is a compound obtained from a mixture of PC and ABS, used specifically to ensure mixability and compatibility between the two polymers. It combines the characteristics of polycarbonate and ABS, and therefore obtaining a good compromise between mechanical, thermal and aesthetic characteristics. During the transformation phase, the presence of ABS makes processing easier and reduces the possibility of tensioning formation (typical of PC).
Since Polycarbonate is a polyester, it is important to carefully monitor and control the dehumidification process of the granule before transformation.
