Compound Division
TECHNOPOLYMERS PRODUCED FROM REGENERATED OR FIRST-CHOICE MATERIALS
The secondary raw material is processed, admixed (with flame retardants also halogen-free, glass fibre, carbon fibre, glass spheres, antistatic, laserable, anti UV, antibacterial, conductive additives, aramid fibre) and/or pigmented and coloured. Subsequently, the plastic granules are produced through the extrusion process with special single-screw or twin-screw extruders.
We create a tailor-made product by analysing the needs and requests received from our customers on each occasion. We regenerate plastics either starting from secondary raw material deriving from our Recovery Division or from other plastic recycling plants and from first-choice materials.
Caldara Plast, as a plastic material compounder, has 15 single and twin-screw extrusion lines with a production capacity of approximately 100 tons per day in a continuous cycle, equal to approximately 20,000 tons of extruded technopolymers per year. We produce different types of plastic: from high impact polystyrene to transparent polycarbonate (PC), to self-extinguishing ABS.
To guarantee products ready for delivery, we stock plastic granules ready for delivery and stocks of ground materials in a 3600 m2 covered warehouse located in Erba (CO) to ensure continuity of production.
EQUIPMENT AND PLANTS
Caldara Plast compound division is equipped with:
- Single-screw extruders
- Twin-screw extruders
- Vertical screw mixers
At the site, the incoming material is also stored in 7 silos with a capacity of approximately 500,000 kg of material. Caldara Plast is equipped with machines for weighing, palletising and automatic bagging of the granules produced.
The compound produced is supplied in:
- Octabins
- Big Bags
- 25 kg bags in aluminium paper or plastic.
We can customise the product labelling according to your needs. Simply ask for it in the quote stage and we shall be able to deliver it directly with our tarpaulin vehicles or trucks.
